Important game to mention about took place in Stahnsdorf. Seventh ranked TKS 49ers (4-2) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked RheinStars (3-3) 75-74 in the game for the third place. TKS 49ers outrebounded RheinStars 38-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Ukrainian point guard Andriy Kozhemiakin (190-1996, agency: BIG) who saved his team from a defeat with 28 points and 8 rebounds. Yannick Hildebrandt (195-1997) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four TKS 49ers players scored in double figures. Canadian point guard Ali Sow (185-1998, college: Laurier) replied with 32 points and point guard Rupert Hennen (184-1997) added 19 points and 4 steals in the effort for RheinStars. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TKS 49ers moved-up to third place, which they share with Wolmirstedt and Oberhaching. RheinStars at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. TKS 49ers will play against Kangaroos (#8) in Iserlohn in the next round where they are favorite. RheinStars will play at home against Schwelm (#11) and hope to get back on the winning track.
