Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Zalgiris (7-1). They were defeated by fifth ranked Rytas (5-3) 89-85 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Zalgiris. The former international Ignas Brazdeikis (201-1999, college: Michigan) responded with 18 points and the former international Edgaras Ulanovas (199-1992) scored 10 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Wolves. Zalgiris at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Jonava who have the same record. Zalgiris will play next round against P.Zvaigzdes trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rytas will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Gargzdu in Gargzdai.
