Regular Season Round 5: Turk Telekom - Selcuklu 74-69

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Selcuklu (0-5) lost to sixth ranked Turk Telekom (3-2) in Ankara 69-74 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Turk Telekom had a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Arda Ozdogan (202-2005) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Yagiz Cetinbas (-2006) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Murat Oney used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Hasan Uzun (189-2003) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Erdemalp Erdem (-2004) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Selcuklu in the defeat. Turk Telekom moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Selcuklu lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Manisa. Turk Telekom will meet at home higher ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
