The biggest surprise took place in Kaunas where host Zalgiris II (11-0) beat league's leader Telsiai (11-1) 81-76 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Telsiai. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Zalgiris II made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Telsiai helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Gytis Nemeiksa (201-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Center Motiejus Krivas (214-2004) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Zalgiris II's coach Vytautas Pliauga used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-1991) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and Deividas Rasys (197-1997) added 16 points respectively. Zalgiris II have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Telsiai at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Zalgiris II. Telsiai will play next round against Vytis trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Zalgiris II will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Palanga on the road.
