Rather predictable result when third ranked Agronomia (3-1) rolled over 6th ranked Ploiesti CSU (1-4) in Bucuresti 70-48 on Sunday. The game without a history. Agronomia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Agronomia forced 27 Ploiesti CSU turnovers and outrebounded them 48-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. Forward Dumitru Potcoava (197-1996) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and forward Adrian Oprea (193-1995) accounted for 8 points and 9 rebounds. Alexandru Chirila came up with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Alin Carabulea (-1995) added 9 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Ploiesti CSU in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Agronomia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Laguna. Newly promoted Ploiesti CSU keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Stomart Iasi. Agronomia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bucuresti to the arena Laguna.
