Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where top-ranked Anadolu Efes (6-0) outscored bottom-ranked Selcuklu (0-6) 99-65 on Wednesday. Anadolu Efes dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Selcuklu's 32. Anadolu Efes forced 24 Selcuklu turnovers and outrebounded them 50-29 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Selcuklu's players. The best player for the winners was center Salih Altuntas (208-2006) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Center Emre Tunca (207-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Iranian point guard Mohammadbasir Momeni (-2004) who recorded 17 points and Mehmet Turkmen (-2005) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Five Anadolu Efes and four Selcuklu players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record, which they share with Gaziantep. Loser Selcuklu still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Manisa. Anadolu Efes will meet at home Turk Telekom (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Selcuklu will play against Besiktas (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
