Everything could happen in Denizl at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Merkezefendi and 9th ranked Tesvikiye had identical 1-4 record. This time Merkezefendi used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Tesvikiye 65-64 on Wednesday night. Merkezefendi forced 25 Tesvikiye turnovers. Strangely Tesvikiye outrebounded Merkezefendi 46-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Atahan Altiok (198-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Tuna Teksen (-2006) chipped in 12 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Berkay Terzi (-2003) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and Orkun Cavusoglu (-2004) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Merkezefendi (2-4) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Besiktas and Buyukcekmece. Tesvikiye lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with five games lost. Merkezefendi will meet league's second-placed Bursaspor on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tesvikiye will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#3) and hope to win that game.
