No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Dukes (3-4) beat bottom-ranked Timberwolves (1-6) in Klosterneuburg 67-58 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-14. But Timberwolves won second period 18-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American Kevin Bracy-Davis (202-1995, college: Davis & Elkins) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Benjamin Blazevic (204-1995) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Dukes' coach Christopher O'Shea used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Chris Vogt (213-1999, college: Wisconsin) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-1990) added 6 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Timberwolves in the defeat. Dukes moved-up to sixth place, which they share with St.Poelten. Timberwolves lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with Furstenfeld. Dukes will meet UBC St. Poelten (#7) in the next round. Timberwolves will play against Gmunden Swans (#4) and hope to win that game.
