Regular Season Round 14: Telsiai - Vytis 74-69

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Telsiu. Second ranked Telsiai faced 4th ranked Vytis. Host Telsiai (12-2) defeated guests from Sakiai (6-2) 74-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vytis. The best player for the winners was point guard Ignas Razutis (185-1987) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-1991) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Five Telsiai players scored in double figures. Gabrielius Celka (198-2001) produced 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Augustinas Mikstas (203-2001) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Vytis' coach Erikas Kuciauskas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Telsiai maintains second position with 12-2 record behind leader Zalgiris II. Vytis at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Telsiai are looking forward to face Kretinga (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Vytis will play against Delikatesas in Joniskis and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
