Regular Season Round 7: Iserlohn - TKS 49ers 64-80

Very expected game when 8th ranked Kangaroos (2-4) lost to fourth ranked TKS 49ers (5-2) in Iserlohn 64-80 on Saturday. TKS 49ers made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Ukrainian point guard Andriy Kozhemiakin (190-1996, agency: BIG) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 assists. Robin Jorch (211-1994, college: Boise St.) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. American guard Michael Cubbage (193, college: SFC) came up with 27 points and 5 rebounds and Joshua Dahmen (193-1992) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kangaroos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TKS 49ers moved-up to third place, which they share with Oberhaching. Loser Kangaroos keep the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. TKS 49ers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kangaroos will play against Vechta-2 (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
