The game in Hamburg supposed to be also worth to mention about. Leader Telekom Baskets (6-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Hamburg Towers (4-3). Telekom Baskets smashed Hamburg Towers 101-72. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Telekom Baskets. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with ALBA. Hamburg Towers at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Rostock. Telekom Baskets will play against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#4) on the road in the next round. Hamburg Towers will play against Hakro Merlins in Crailsheim and hope to get back on the winning track.
