Everything went according to plan when second ranked Turk Telekom (6-1) defeated 6th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (3-3) in Ankara 92-83 on Saturday. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jerian Grant (196-1992, college: Notre Dame) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Point guard Tony Taylor (184-1990, college: GWU) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Erdem Can used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) came up with 19 points and 8 assists and the other American import forward Vitto Brown (203-1995, college: Wisconsin) added 24 points respectively for Pinar Karsiyaka in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Turk Telekom. They maintain second place with 6-1 record having just one point less than leader Fenerbahce. Pinar Karsiyaka lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Darussafaka.
