ProB top team - SSV Lok Bernau (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Vechta-2 (3-3) 89-61. SSV Lok Bernau dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Vechta-2's 28. It was a quality performance for American Isiah Small (202-1998, college: Texas St.) who led the winners and scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Bosnian point guard Abdulah Kameric (192-2000) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four SSV Lok Bernau players scored in double figures. Noah Janen (199-2004) came up with 16 points and American guard JJ Culver (193-1997, college: WBU) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Vechta-2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for SSV Lok Bernau. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Newly promoted Vechta-2 keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. SSV Lok Bernau will meet Eagles (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vechta-2 will play against Kangaroos (#10) and hope to secure a win.
