Regular Season Round 10: Kronberg - Langen 75-85

Very predictable result when fourth ranked TV Langen (8-3) won against on the road bottom-ranked Kronberg (0-10) 85-75 on Saturday. They outrebounded Kronberg 52-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. TV Langen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Philip Jenkins (188-1990, college: Life) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Risto Vasiljevic (195-2001) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four TV Langen players scored in double figures. TV Langen's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists by point guard Frederik Fischbach (182-2002) did not help to save the game for Kronberg. Steffen Zimmermann added 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. TV Langen have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Kronberg still closes the standings with ten games lost. TV Langen will meet at home Bensheim (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kronberg will play against Giessen Ak. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
