Regular Season Round 7: Speyer - Leitershofen 69-88

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Kangaroos (4-3) outplayed on the road 8th ranked Speyer (2-4) 88-69 on Saturday. Kangaroos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Speyer's 36. It was an exceptional evening for American Teathloach Pal (206-1997, college: Sioux Falls) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds. Point guard Lucas Mayer (185-1999) accounted for 11 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Kangaroos' coach Emanuel Richter used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Quadre Lollis Jr (196-1994, college: Presentation) came up with 23 points and 6 rebounds and center David Aichele (212-1999) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Speyer in the defeat. Kangaroos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Wolmirstedt and Bball Loewen. Loser Speyer keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Kangaroos will meet at home Bayern (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Speyer will play against the league's second-placed White Wings in Hanau and hope to secure a win.
