Regular Season Round 7: Fenerbahce - Tofas 82-68

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fenerbahce as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fenerbahce defeated 5th ranked Tofas in Istanbul 82-68. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Johnathan Motley (208-1995, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 20 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international power forward Samet Geyik (206-1993) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Rob Gray (186-1994, college: Houston) answered with 16 points and international point guard Berk Ugurlu (192-1996) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Tofas. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Tofas at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Petkim.
