Regular Season Round 7: Panevezio - Zalgiris II 81-104

The biggest surprise of round 7 in U18 League was guest Zalgiris II's (5-2) easy road victory over 5th ranked Panevezio (4-3) 104-81 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Zalgiris II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Zalgiris II outrebounded Panevezio 63-40 including a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Arminas Bareckas (-2005) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Liutauras Serkevicius (-2005) chipped in 29 points. Arnas Stankevicius (-2005) produced 24 points and 4 assists and guard Arnas Strikulys (188-2005) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zalgiris II moved-up to fifth place. Panevezio at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Zalgiris II are looking forward to face higher ranked SKM I (#4) in Vilniaus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Panevezio will play on the road against the league's leader VKKM in Vilniaus and is hoping to win this game.
