There was no surprise when 12th ranked OrangeAcademy (1-5) lost on the road to seventh ranked Coburg (3-3) 76-63 on Sunday. Coburg forced 19 OrangeAcademy turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Spanish point guard Jose Carrasco (185-1994) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Jannis Sonnefeld (207-2002) accounted for 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Coburg players scored in double figures. Center Antonio Dorn (212-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds and Joel Cwik (194-2006) added 18 points respectively for OrangeAcademy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Coburg moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. OrangeAcademy lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Herford. Coburg will meet Ludwigsburg (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. OrangeAcademy will play against Skyliners II in Frankfurt and hope to win that game.
