Regular Season Round 9: Holbaek - Bakken 56-96

Very expected game when 11th ranked Holbaek (1-8) was rolled over at home by fourth ranked Bakken (6-2) 96-56 on Sunday. Bakken shot 21 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Holbaek only scored four points from the stripe. Bakken forced 26 Holbaek turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American center Kylor Kelley (213-1997, college: Oregon St.) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Gustav Knudsen (204-2003) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Spanish point guard Pablo Lopez (182-2001) with 11 points and 6 assists and forward Rasmus Moller (202-2002) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bakken have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Horsens IC and Randers. Holbaek lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Bakken will meet at home league's leader Naestved in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Holbaek will play against Vaerlose (#8) and hope to win that game.
