Bottom-ranked Karsiyaka (0-11) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to ninth ranked Bogazici (7-4) 121-49 on Friday evening. Bogazici well out of reach of Karsiyaka shooting 70.4 percent from the field. They also forced 24 Karsiyaka turnovers and outrebounded them 39-20 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gizem Sakalli (-2000) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Sydney Hunter (183-1999, college: San Diego) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Karsiyaka's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bogazici moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Karsiyaka lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Bogazici will meet at home Izmit (#5) in the next round. Karsiyaka will play against the league's leader Tarsus (#1) in Mersin and hopes to get finally their first victory.
