No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Vasco (4-2) beat 7th ranked Electrico FC (1-5) in Porto 82-76 on Saturday. Vasco looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Jaja Davis (196, college: Montreat) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import forward Elias Cave (201, college: Minot St.) supported him with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Vasco's coach Gabriel Valente used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 11 points and 9 rebounds by Brazilian Matheus Santana (204-1996) did not help to save the game for Electrico FC. Point guard Tedoyame Simao (180-2002) added 12 points. Four Electrico FC players scored in double figures. Vasco have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Electrico FC lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with NB Queluz and Academica. Vasco will meet league's second-placed Galitos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Electrico FC will play against Illiabum (#3) and hope to win that game.
