Very predictable result when third ranked FC Porto (8-1) rolled over at home 8th ranked Lusitania (3-6) 93-64 on Saturday. FC Porto looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Lusitania's players. American forward Michael Finke (208-1996, college: GCU, agency: Players Group) notched 22 points to lead the effort and the former international point guard Miguel Cardoso (188-1993) supported him with 12 points and 7 assists. Finke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 12 points and 8 rebounds by the former international center Daniel Relvao (208-1996, college: GMU) did not help to save the game for Lusitania. Ugandan-American Deng Geu (203-1997, college: N.Texas) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FC Porto moved-up to second place, which they share with Sporting. Lusitania lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. FC Porto will meet at home Ovarense (#4) in the next round. Lusitania will play against CAB Madeira (#11) in Funchal and hope to secure a win.
