Regular Season Round 11: Elazig Karabulut - Kirklareli 78-80

The most interesting game of round 11 was only two-point a home defeat of 7th ranked Elazig Karabulut (6-5) to sixth ranked Kirklareli (7-4) 80-78. It ended the three-game winning streak of Elazig Karabulut. Kirklareli looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Irem Tulgar (-1990) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Aliyah Mazyck (175-1996, college: USC) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists. American guard Ameryst Alston (175-1993, college: Ohio St.) responded with 31 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Dilara Gocmen scored 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Elazig Karabulut's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kirklareli moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Elazig Karabulut at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Edremit. Kirklareli is looking forward to face Urla (#14) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Elazig Karabulut will play on the road against the league's second-placed Fenerbahce G. (#2) in Istanbul and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
