There was an upset in Rostock where higher ranked Seawolves (4-4) were defeated by twelfth ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (3-4) 91-84 on Sunday. MLP Academics Heidelberg made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Maximilian Ugrai (201-1995, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Eric Washington (183-1993, college: Miami, OH) who added 22 points and 4 assists during the contest. American point guard JeQuan Lewis (185-1994, college: VCU, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists and his fellow American import center Selom Mawugbe (208-1998, college: Azusa Pacific) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Seawolves' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MLP Academics Heidelberg moved-up to tenth place. Seawolves lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Hamburg. MLP Academics Heidelberg will meet at home Braunschweig (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Seawolves will play against EWE Baskets (#5) in Oldenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
