Regular Season Round 8: Hanau - Speyer 100-69

Very predictable result in Hanau where top-ranked White Wings (7-0) smashed 10th ranked Speyer (2-5) 100-69 on Sunday. White Wings dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Speyer's 36. White Wings forced 21 Speyer turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Speyer's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Sebastian Brach (190-2002) who had a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Bruno Albrecht (189-2001) chipped in 19 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). White Wings' coach Marti Zamora-Mas felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American DJ Woodmore (190-1992, college: VWU) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import Quadre Lollis Jr (196-1994, college: Presentation) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Five White Wings and four Speyer players scored in double figures. White Wings have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-0 record having just one point less than leader Koblenz. Loser Speyer keeps the tenth place with five games lost. They share the position with Iserlohn. White Wings will meet OrangeAcademy (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Speyer will play against Bayern and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
