The game in Kaunas was also worth to mention about. 4th ranked SKM I (5-2) played at the court of fifth ranked Zalgiris II (6-2). Zalgiris II defeated SKM I 82-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SKM I. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Zalgiris II's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-15 extending their advantage to 15 points. Worth to mention a great performance of center Aleksas Bieliauskas (206-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and Liutauras Serkevicius (-2005) who added 21 points during the contest. Four Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Kristupas Civilis (-2005) responded with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Nojus Kuliesa (185) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris II moved-up to third place, which they share with Saule. SKM I at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Zalgiris II will play against league's second-placed VKM in Vilniaus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SKM I's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vilniaus VKKM.
