There was no surprise in Klaipeda where 14th ranked Neptunas-Akv. (2-15) was defeated by eleventh ranked Kretinga (6-9) 81-67 on Thursday. Kretinga looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Martynas Mazeika (193-1985, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 30 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Rytis Sakaitis (193-2004) responded with 16 points and Gabrielius Mazeika (206-2003) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Neptunas-Akv.'s coach Alfredas Kaniava rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kretinga moved-up to tenth place. Neptunas-Akv. lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Kretinga will meet at home Rytas 2 (#13) in the next round.
