Regular Season Round 9: Triglav - Celje 65-54

Celje (7-1) recorded its first loss in Kranj on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Triglav (6-3) 65-54. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Celje. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 65-54. Triglav forced 21 Celje turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-1993) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Gala Kramzar (180-1999) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Sara Loomis (188-1997, college: Ashland) who recorded 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Australian Taylah Simmons (185-1997, college: Southeastern) added 11 points respectively. Triglav have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Jezica. Defending champion Celje keeps the second position with one game lost. Triglav is looking forward to face league's leader Ilrija in Ljubljana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Celje will play at home against Konjice and is hoping to win this game.
