Edremit outrebounded Manisa 39-27 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Zakyia Weathersby (188-1998, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds and center Irem Sozen (186-1998) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Edremit's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Fatma Icacan (-2001) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Edremit moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bogazici. Manisa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Urla and Yalova Vip. Edremit will meet Yalova Vip (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Manisa will play against Karsiyaka in Izmir and hope to secure a win.
