Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Elazig Il (8-4) beat at home 10th ranked Emlak 2 (4-8) 81-68 on Saturday. Elazig Il dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Emlak 2's 30. They outrebounded Emlak 2 44-30 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Elazig Il looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Emlak 2's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Elazig Il made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Channon Fluker (193-1997, college: CSUN) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 7 blocks (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and Ilknur Yildizhan (186-1996) who added 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Irem Akat (-2001) with 14 points and 4 assists and point guard Berfin Sertoglu (171-2004) scored 15 points. Emlak 2's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Elazig Il moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Izmit and Kirklareli. Emlak 2 lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Antalya and Diba Ankara. Elazig Il will meet higher ranked Botas GA (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Emlak 2 will play against Bogazici (#7) and hope to secure a win.
