Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Galatasaray and 12th ranked Acibadem had identical 3-5 record. But Acibadem was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Istanbul 86-79 on Saturday night. Galatasaray outrebounded Acibadem 39-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Canadian-Jamaican guard Dylan Ennis (188-1991, college: Oregon, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Italian-American forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-1989, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Galatasaray's coach Andreas Pistiolis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was French center Jerry Boutsiele (208-1994) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and international swingman Yigit Arslan (198-1996) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galatasaray (4-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Acibadem lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost. Galatasaray will meet at home Gaziantep (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Acibadem will play against Buyukcekmece and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
