Regular Season Round 9: Towers - KOS 92-87

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Towers (3-6) won against 9th ranked KOS (4-5) in Kufstein 92-87 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 53-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Towers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Serbian power forward Luka Kraljic (206-1999) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and forward Fabio Thaler (198-1992) accounted for 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Slovenian forward Andrej Blazevic (195-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Montenegrin-Kosovan center Andi Shehu (200-1997) added 24 points and 9 rebounds respectively for KOS in the defeat. Five Towers and four KOS players scored in double figures. Towers moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Rocks. Loser KOS keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Towers will meet at home higher ranked Alligators (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KOS will play against Flames (#12) and hope to secure a win.
