There was no surprise in Karlsruhe where 11th ranked Arvato College Wizards (2-7) were crushed by eighth ranked Skyliners II (4-4) 87-65 on Saturday. Forward Justin Onyejiaka (195-2004) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Jordan Samare (202-2002) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Skyliners II's coach Sepehr Tarrah felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Christian Rodriguez (180-1999, college: Cornerstone) with 23 points and 4 steals and Christoph Rupp (195-1994) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Skyliners II moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Schwelm and Itzehoe. Arvato College Wizards lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with seven games lost. Skyliners II will meet Loewen (#8) in the next round. Arvato College Wizards will have a break next round.
