Very significant was Beroe's (#1, 7-0) victory against their biggest opponent Montana (6-2) 99-75. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Montana. Beroe dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Montana's 40. Beroe forced 24 Montana turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international swingman Teodora Dineva (178-1996) who led the winners and scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Ciara Rosten (188-1996, college: Edinboro) accounted for 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Rosten is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. International forward Gabriela Nikolova (183-1997) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Monique Reid (185-1990, college: Louisville) added 26 points respectively for Montana in the defeat. Five Beroe and four Montana players scored in double figures. Beroe (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Newly promoted Montana keeps the second position with two games lost. Beroe will play against bottom-ranked Academic PL (#6) in Plovdiv in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Montana will play at home against Rilski Sportist (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
