Regular Season Round 8: DBB LZ OOE - DBBC Graz 74-76

The most exciting game of round 8 in the BDSL took place in Linz. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked DBB LZ OOE (3-4) to fourth ranked DBBC Graz (4-2) 76-74 on Sunday evening. DBB LZ OOE was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. DBBC Graz forced 22 DBB LZ OOE turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Nina Krisper (179-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Bosnian forward Eni Nizamic (183-1999) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four DBBC Graz players scored in double figures. Guard Lisa Ganhor (167-2001) produced 21 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Magdalena Spanring (178-2004) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. DBBC Graz moved-up to third place. DBB LZ OOE at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Timberwolves. DBBC Graz are looking forward to face Flames (#4) in Vienna in the next round. DBB LZ OOE will play at home against the league's second-placed UBI Graz and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
