Rather predictable result in Plovdiv where fourth ranked Akademik PL 2 (6-3) smashed 6th ranked Lokomotiv Pl. (2-6) 105-58 on Sunday. Akademik PL 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Lokomotiv Pl.'s 48. Akademik PL 2 forced 24 Lokomotiv Pl. turnovers and outrebounded them 55-37 including 40 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Lokomotiv Pl.'s players. The best player for the winners was guard Krastomir Mihov (194-2004) who had a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 22 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Greek point guard Ioannis Kikrilis (184-2004) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Akademik PL 2 players scored in double figures. Nikolay Petkov (191-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Mario Yurukov (196-1993) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Akademik PL 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Vihar Aytos. Lokomotiv Pl. lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Akademik PL 2 will meet league's leader Hebar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lokomotiv Pl. will play against Mambas (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
