Regular Season Round 9: Fenerbahce 2 - OGM Orman 81-66

There was a small surprise in Istanbul where tenth ranked Fenerbahce 2 (4-5) beat 8th ranked OGM Orman (4-5) 81-66 on Sunday. Fenerbahce 2 had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American swingman DShawn Schwartz (201-1999, college: GMU) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Berkay Bayar (196-1999) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Utku Yucedag (198-1994) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and Cameroonian forward Benoit Mbala (200-1995) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce 2 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated OGM Orman. Fenerbahce 2 will meet league's leader Cagdas BS in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. OGM Orman's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara TED Ankara.
