Regular Season Round 11: Siauliai - Neptunas 61-60

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Siauliai and 8th ranked Neptunas had identical 4-6 record. This time Siauliai used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Klaipeda 61-60 on Tuesday night. The best player for the winners was Paulius Danusevicius (205-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. The former international point guard Donatas Sabeckis (197-1992) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American center Austin Wiley (211-1999, college: Auburn) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Matas Jogela (201-1998) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Siauliai (5-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nevezis. Loser Neptunas dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Siauliai will meet bottom-ranked Prienai (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Neptunas will play against Nevezis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
