The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Vienna: Timberwolves (#6) and Vienna United (#8). Timberwolves (4-4) crushed visiting Vienna United (0-8) by 62 points 105-43. The game without a history. Timberwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Vienna United to an opponent 23.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 53.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Timberwolves forced 25 Vienna United turnovers and outrebounded them 52-29 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Timberwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Vienna United's players. It was a good game for the former international guard Aleksandra Novakovic (173-1994) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 5 assists. Timberwolves moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Basket Flames. Vienna United at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Timberwolves is looking forward to face DBB LZ OOE (#6) in Linz in the next round. Vienna United will play on the road against DBBC Graz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
