The most exciting game of round 13 in the BasketLigaen took place in Herlev. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Herlev (8-4) to first ranked Naestved (10-2) 73-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Herlev. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Ian DuBose (193-1999, college: Wake Forest) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Mike McGuirl (189-1998, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. The former international point guard August Haas (187-1997, college: St.Edward's) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and forward Marqus Marion (204-2004) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Herlev. Herlev's coach Adrian Moss rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naestved maintains first place with 10-2 record. Herlev at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Naestved are looking forward to face Copenhagen (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Herlev will play against Holbaek (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
