Rather expected game when 9th ranked Socar Petkim (4-6) was smashed by sixth ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (6-3) in Izmir 96-75 on Saturday. Pinar Karsiyaka forced 19 Socar Petkim turnovers. American players dominated the game. Guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) notched 38 points (!!!) (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and forward Vitto Brown (203-1995, college: Wisconsin) supported him with 21 points. Even 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists by Omar Prewitt (201-1994, college: William & Mary) did not help to save the game for Socar Petkim. Center Jeremy Simmons (204-1989, college: Charleston) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pinar Karsiyaka have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Darussafaka and Bursaspor. Socar Petkim lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Konyaspor and Merkezefendi.
