Higher League top team - MBC-Niko 2 (5-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Chernigiv (0-6) in Mykolaiv 79-58. The game without a history. MBC-Niko 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. MBC-Niko 2 outrebounded Chernigiv 50-30 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Swingman Oleksiy Kochura (195-2001) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Bogdan Lukian (183-1999) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Dmitro Kravchenko (193-1997) produced 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Oleksiy Rushakov (190-1996) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MBC-Niko 2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Newly promoted Chernigiv still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Politekhn.Lviv.
