Everything went according to plan when third ranked Deisenhofen (7-2) defeated 6th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (4-5) in Allmendingen 76-67 on Saturday. Deisenhofen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ehingen/Urspringschule's 32 and made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Deisenhofen forced 25 Ehingen/Urspringschule turnovers. Strangely Ehingen/Urspringschule outrebounded Deisenhofen 47-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. Janosch Koegler (190-1993) notched 21 points to lead the effort and Fynn Fischer (208-1999) supported him with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 blocks by American Andre Nation (196-1993, college: JMU) did not help to save the game for Ehingen/Urspringschule. Luxembourg point guard Ivan Delgado (193-1998) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
