Rather expected game in Klagenfurt where 6th ranked Worthersee Piraten (5-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Mustangs (8-1) 83-66 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Mustangs's pressure prevailed and they won that period 25-9 extending their advantage to 17 points. Czech guard Jan Kozina (182-1995) fired 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) chipped in 17 points. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Mustangs' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Shawn Ray (194-1980, college: NCCU) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Felix Leindecker (182-1999) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Mustangs have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Worthersee Piraten dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with KOS. Mustangs will meet at home Rocks (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Worthersee Piraten will play against Future Team in Steiermark and hope to secure a win.
