Everything could happen in Bursa at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Tofas and 8th ranked Merkezefendi had identical 4-5 record. This time Tofas used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Denizl 90-79 on Monday night. Tofas outrebounded Merkezefendi 36-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. International point guard Berk Ugurlu (192-1996) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 assists to lead the effort and American guard Rob Gray (186-1994, college: Houston) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 9 assists by Israeli-American guard Max Heidegger (191-1997, college: UCSB) did not help to save the game for Merkezefendi. Greek swingman Nikolaos Rogkavopoulos (203-2001) added 19 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tofas (5-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Galatasaray. Merkezefendi at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Konyaspor and Petkim.
