TKBL top team - Tarsus (12-2) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Emlak 2 (4-10) in Mersin 72-62. They outrebounded Emlak 2 42-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Tarsus looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Hande Kuzu (182-1990) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Berfin Sertoglu (171-2004) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Sila Kaya (-2001) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Emlak 2's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Tarsus maintains first position with 12-2 record, which they share with Fenerbahce G. Emlak 2 lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Urla and Manisa. Tarsus is looking forward to face Botas GA (#3) in Ankara in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Emlak 2 will play at home against Manisa (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
