Regular Season Round 14: Hamm - Muenster 2 118-112

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Hamm and 6th ranked Muenster 2 had identical 7-6 record. This time Hamm used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Muenster 118-112 on Saturday night. Hamm dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Muenster 2's 42 and made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. American guard Tyler Brevard (189-1998, college: Lander) notched 36 points (!!!) and 6 assists to lead the effort and point guard Kevin Kollmar (189-2002) supported him with 20 points and 8 assists. Worth to mention Brevard played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Even 37 points (!!!) by center Lukas Ehrich (204-2002) did not help to save the game for Muenster 2. Point guard Lorenz Neuhaus (183-2003) added 20 points and 11 assists for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hamm (8-6) moved-up to third place, which they share with Recklinghausen and Ulm BBU 01. Newly promoted Muenster 2 dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Hamm will meet Leverkusen 2 (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Muenster 2 will play against Hertener Loewen (#9) and hope to secure a win.
