The game between Top Four teams took place in Dresden. 4th ranked host Titans (7-5) lost to second ranked Tigers (10-2) 94-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Titans. Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American Zac Seljaas (203-1997, college: BYU) who scored that evening 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) supported him with 24 points. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by swingman Lucien Schmikale (194-1997) did not help to save the game for Titans. Canadian Tanner Graham (200-1996, college: Queen's) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers maintains second position with 10-2 record behind leader Vechta. Newly promoted Titans keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Tigers will play against 46ers (#4) in Giessen in the next round. Titans will play on the road against Science City Jena and hope to get back on the winning track.
