Regular Season Round 11: Flames - Towers 63-69

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Flames' (2-9) home loss to eleventh ranked Towers (4-7) 63-69 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Flames won third quarter 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Towers had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Serbian power forward Luka Kraljic (206-1999) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Fabio Thaler (198-1992) helped adding 15 points and 17 rebounds. Slovenian point guard Jernej Heine (191-2000) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and American center Evan Frank (203, college: Wabash) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Flames' coach Renaldo O'Neal tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Towers moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Rocks. Flames lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. Towers will meet at home higher ranked BBU (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Flames' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vienna United.
