Regular Season Round 11: Turk Telekom - Gaziantep 90-75

BSL top team - Turk Telekom (10-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Gaziantep (3-7) in Ankara 90-75. Turk Telekom shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Tony Taylor (184-1990, college: GWU) who scored 21 points. American guard Jerian Grant (196-1992, college: Notre Dame) chipped in 19 points. American swingman Damyean Dotson (196-1994, college: Houston) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (191-1994, college: Wake Forest) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Turk Telekom have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Gaziantep lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Turk Telekom will meet Galatasaray (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gaziantep will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#5) in Izmir and hope to secure a win.
